Network Simulation and Comparison:

I created 50 randomly generated networks using the following steps:

1. I randomly reassigned each respondent’s block groups from the pool of all block groups in the sample (with replacement), keeping the same number of visits for each person.
2. I created a Bipartite Graph of Co-rating.
3. I projected the Graph so the nodes are blockgroups that were co-rated by the same older adults
4. Calculated the network statistics

Then, I compared the observed network and the distribution of the simulation statistics, calculating the empirical one-tailed p-value for Modularity, density, and weighted and unweighted clustering.
